Really good show if you like vintage Winchesters, many nice ones in the building.

Brian at South Carroll also has a decent Ruger red pad heavy barrel 308 Model 77 with scope and bipod for a decent price, was tempted.

Right next to it was a Remington model 7 in .223. The price was really good! I would have bought it if I didn't already have a Winchester carbine w/ factory McMillan stock in .223.

How much was the price on the primers? I was at Bass Pro last week they had four 1000 packs of CCI Large Pistol standard for $64.99. Individual 100 packs for $6.99. First time in I don't know how long that I saw primers for sale in a store. A good average price for these up to March of 2020 would have been about $40. That was the closest price I saw to $40 since March of 2020. Seen 'em as high as $150-$200 per 1000 at the last few gun shows I went to in PA and VA.

The LGS by my 2nd home in Kansas has had primers for a while. They are limiting customers to 200 primers per day at $6.50 per 100. Because they have a consistent supply, the 200/day limit isn’t so bad. I’ve been using those primers when I’m over there to reload my 22 Hornet and .223. I usually run through 100-200 rounds per range session when I’m there. The 200/day helps me not have to break into my hoard of primers. :lol2:

I went to Howard this morning, 1st show in over 2 decades.

Let me preference by saying SCSG was the only bright spot, I picked up Wolf 7.62x39 NC for $7/20 rnds.
The rest of the show was 150-300% higher than on items I was looking for than you could readily get elsewhere.
SCSG had reasonable prices on their Lowers,, but did not have what I was looking for (closed trigger ear)

I went looking for budget serialized stripped lowers, Possibly .223/5.56 AR barrels, lower parts kits, handguards etc.
Also looking for lever action straightwall guns (96/44, deerfield carbine, marlin, etc.)
Laminated stocks for various common guns (10/22),
    Ruger mins (14 or 30)

Besides SCSG,, ammo was insulting prices,, really did all those dealers stop on the way at BPS, pick up ammo and double the prices?
    Steel 7.62x39 .50 - .75 per round in bulk??
    5.56 .50 - .80 per round in bulk.
9mm 115 FMJ $30-40 box of 50 (stopped at BPS and grabbed some for 16.99)

2 vendors had PSA/Anderson/no name AR-15 lowers for $200,, the PLA lower is $79 on PLA webpage, no shipping.

    No name 16" phosphate 5.56 barrels $200+

Budget lower parts kits Minus FCG $89,, they are $29-32 on line.

I honestly expected to pay a slight premium vs what these parts are online,,, but 200-300% more?

I am beginning to think the whole business model of (fill in the blank) shows is a thing of the past,,

SCSG had thd only decent prices. Example: Keltec sub2000 $550. At another table $850.

I was hoping to get some reloading powder and primers, but the only powder that was there was specifically for 338 Lapua.

Bought a couple flags, range bag, and some hard to find ammo.

I was able to get some body armor, and one guy had an okay price on a 10/22 ($275, which was what Bass Pro Shop sells it for), but I didn't see anyone with a ruger mark 4 and everything else seemed kind of high. Was fun just to browse around and whatnot.
