    Here's what they found:

This has been in its better days a Saxon infantry sword M 1867. The monogram "AR" stands for Albert, King of Saxony, died 1902. The Eisenhauer"-mark is a sign of quality and durability of the blade - ironcutter should be the exact translation.

So, cut-down sword, as you suspected.

    Thanks again Bob! Great work.

Anything I can do for you, especially AR related(I'm not Chad, but I have slept through quite a few of his classes ;)), don't hesitate to rattle my cage. :)
