Now I once owned a Browing HiPower chambered in .30 caliber Luger. That was a neat gun no meh there.

Well it looks like I may not be the only one here that does not own an AR after all.
As far as hand guns go I have a Kahr CM40 that I won from a gun publication about 11 years ago. That thing has the weirdest trigger on anything I have ever seen. I have shot it once since I've had it.

Ruger. Almost anything. It's not that they're not good. I just don't care for them. There were always other things that I could should better.

Beretta. I know the 92 is as iconic to some as the 1911 is to me but, I never developed any great affection for them. I always thought the Sig P226 was the superior gun and that the military went with Beretta more for political reasons than side-by-side test results. They do make some beautiful shotguns, though.

Any handgun I would use for defending the home and hearth would have to be (1) reliable, (2) relatively inexpensive to replace (since the police would certainly confiscate it as evidence), and (3) one I wouldn't miss much until I could get a replacement.

My Glock 19 fills those requirements very well. Plus it's, well, ugly, err, umm, aesthetically unpleasing.

I'll be doing my own cerakote. I can let you know. Ship it up and I'll do it for free....
Isn't that where they throw the words of a song on a screen, and you try to sing it with just the music?

I could never understand why anyone would do that, especially for free.

Oh never mind. I thought this was a handgun forum. I'm calling this off topic. Send me the Hi-Point and I'll sing Memories fer' free. If you could hear me sing, you'd actually pay me!

I think the most meh gun I own is my Merlin 39-A, it was my first gun (gifted to me) but I think I’ve shot it 2-3 times with less than 100 rounds through it. It’s extremely easy to take down and clean, has a nice weight to it and smooth action. But I hate the sights on it and would rather shoot my 10/22. But I’ll probably never end up selling it.

It seems while the books specify Bond carrying a PPK, in the movies it seems, they used a PP.

But would love to get a PPK in 7.65.

I have to say the Ruger GP-100 would be the one I'd put in this category. I love the Ruger Security-Six revolvers (all of the variables), but after hefting the latter and running out to the gun store in Kensington to see a GP-100, I let out a huge "Meh!" Not only was I not interested in the least, the GP-100 was actually a gigantic turn off. The balance was so horrible, I next tried a S&W 686 4-inch (I have two 6-inch models, a no-dash and a 686-6). I loved the 4-inch, just never have had gotten one yet.

The Security-Six is an astounding gun and the first one I got was $169.

The Ruger GP-100 w/a Security-Six (inset), which I think is much better gun!

One of the most wonderful handguns I wish I'd grabbed in the 1980s was a S&W Model 13. I remember returning one after a week back in Utah. Back in the late 70s all you had to do is fill out a federal form and you could just bring one back if you didn't warm up to it, and I loved it, but back then I had a thing for Ruger Security-Six revolvers, so I was just new to handguns and I put it in my car and drove to my favorite pawn shop and swapped it out for a Ruger Security-Six 6-incher! It was a move to get an all three (one in each barrel length).

The GP-100 has never grown on me, and it's still a Meh in my book.

..and even better my nagant revolver. What a crude, underpowered piece of junk. Not even worthy of a spot on a shelf in my safe. It resides on the floor where it belongs.

I agree that it is not the best pistol ever made, but I actually have fun with mine... granted I dont want to take them out every day. But if you want a challenge, see how many of the seven rounds you can land on a 6 inch plate while rapid firing say at 50 feet in single action... if I get 3 I'm happy.

If you want a little more zip out if your Nagant, you can safely shoot .32 H&R magnum out of it. I have plenty of actual Nagant ammo, so I don't do it, but I have heard reliable sources confirm it is safe.

Don't overlook the fact that, with a little machining, it can be a reasonable suppressor host, thanks to the clever engineering which eliminates the cylinder gap when firing.

Yeah - a Glock porn thread is kind of like a Hillary Clinton porn thread.
