    Most recent update from Mark:

"Mario Granados-Alvarado, 19, was arrested on May 1st after bringing an AR-15 assault rifle - which he stole from a police car - to his high school. He was released on bail May 3rd despite federal immigration officials formally requesting that he be detained a day earlier.

Granados-Alvarado is an illegal alien in the United States and an El Salvador citizen. He has been arrested at least two other times since entering the country illegally in 2014.

On May 4th, Attorney General Brian Frosh advised all law enforcement not to hold people on immigration detainers. This is another case of putting politics over public safety!

"In fiscal year 2016, ICE removed or returned 240,255 individuals. Of this total, 174,923 were apprehended while, or shortly after, attempting to illegally enter the United States. The remaining 65,332 were apprehended in the interior of the United States, and the vast majority were convicted criminals" according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

    Hogan Vetoes 'Phony' Redistricting Bill

Governor Hogan vetoed (SB1023) the Independent Congressional Redistricting Commission on Monday. Progressives who voted down the Governor's Redistricting Reform Act of 2017 (HB385), passed their own bill rather than establishing a nonpartisan redistricting commission.

The Governor called the bill "phony," as it requires five other states near Maryland to enact legislation before Maryland establishes a nonpartisan redistricting commission.

Senate President Miller and House Speaker Busch released a joint statement, calling the Governor's veto a "plan to simply elect more Republicans to Congress."

Again, Marylanders should be choosing their elected officials, not the other way around."

Delegate Mark N. Fisher has been a Member of the House of Maryland Delegates representing the citizens in District 27B, Calvert County since January 12, 2011. He is a member of the Ways and Means Committee and the Revenues Subcommittee. Delegate Fisher is a member of the Tri-County Council for Southern Maryland serving on the Executive Board as 3rd Vice Chair.

Delegate Fisher is an entrepreneur, longtime soccer booster, friend to non-profit groups, neighbor, husband and father. He has served on numerous boards both non-profit and for profit. He understands the "balance" that is required between earning a living and giving back to the community.

In 1994, Mark began working at the "dawn" of the wireless business and the digital age. At that time, less than one in ten Americans owned a cell phone. Recognizing early-on that cell phones would soon become a necessity rather than a luxury, Mark began a company that owned and operated cell tower infrastructure which is the backbone of wireless networks. In 2007, Mark began incorporating renewable energy systems such as wind turbines and solar panels into the design of cell tower infrastructure. His efforts and energies have made wireless "cell coverage" possible for millions of people throughout the mid-Atlantic region.

In 2003, Mark founded Gray's Field Foundation, a non-profit organization that, among other things, saved an historic African American baseball field from development. Today, "Gray's Field" in Owings, Maryland, serves as an athletic field for hundreds of children and families in Calvert County. Moreover, the Gray Family continues to hold their annual picnic at Gray's Field the original home to the African American League's "Owings Eagles."

Delegate Fisher is a lifelong Marylander. Born in Baltimore, he was raised with his three siblings in Baltimore Highlands - a very proud blue collar neighborhood in Baltimore County. His father owned a small automotive body shop in the local community and his mother served as the cantor every Sunday at St. Clement I, the local Catholic Church.

Delegate Fisher holds a B.A. in International Affairs & Economics from George Washington University. He has been married for 25 years to Deena Fisher of Merrick, New York. Mr. and Mrs. Fisher have three children: Sonia (23), Samuel (20) & Olivia (17), all of whom have been raised in Calvert County and reside in Prince Frederick, Maryland.

The other day Brian Fr*sh sent out an email trying to justify why he's not complying with the bipartisan election fraud commission. Frosh said he was protecting people's privacy, but the information is public and the purpose is to detect fraud; you can't detect fraud if you don't even look. There are many accounts here in Maryland of people (illegals) getting drivers licenses and automatically being registered to vote; one MVA employee said she would be fired if she even asked citizenship. Maryland is a 'sanctuary' state, meaning crooked politicians are preventing police from doing their jobs and not cooperating with ICE and other Feds on this issue. Why? Because they don't care about the problems this brings, like gangs (Maryland is MS13 headquarters), and the extreme tax burden on legal citizens. They only care about votes, and voter fraud happens.

    From Mark Fisher:

"The President's bipartisan Advisory Commission on Election Integrity asked Maryland election officials to work together, so as to ensure that voter information is accurate. Maryland's election officials denied the request.

You'd think that after eight months of attacks by Progressives about Russian influence on the 2016 election, there would be bipartisan support for the Commission. Think again. Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh - who is also suing President Trump - called the President's Commission "Repugnant".

Rep. Andy Harris, Maryland's only Republican in Congress, said: "I'm not surprised Democrats are worried about investigations into voter fraud. Why not cooperate? Most of this information is publicly available. There is no reason why not to cooperate with a federal investigation into the extent that voter fraud occurs in Maryland and whether some states are more lax than others."

Progressives continuously accuse Russia of meddling in the election. You'd think they'd embrace the bipartisan Commission on Election Integrity.

Since Hillary Clinton won Maryland, what's there to hide?"

    From Mark:

This week, Kevin Kamenetz became the 7th Maryland Democrat to challenge Governor Larry Hogan. Kamenetz is the County Executive of Baltimore County.

In 2013, Kamenetz lobbied strongly for an increase in the Gas Tax, but opposed dedicating the tax to roads & bridges. Without dedicating the funds, the Gas Tax can be used for any spending. While this is not unusual for Maryland Progressives, what happened next is more troubling.

One year after the Gas Tax passed, Kamenetz realized the tax would cost Baltimore County $1.6 million. So, he lobbied Annapolis to exempt Baltimore County Government-owned cars & trucks from paying the tax.

Tax for Thee - But not for Me!

The more you learn about politicians and their actions, the more angry you get. At this point I think government positions ought to be like jury duty. You get a notice to serve, you pass a basic qualifications exam, you do 4 years at a competitive salary and then you're back to your old job.

    Mark just emailed this out:

A violent Salvadoran gang known as "MS-13" is expanding in Anne Arundel County.

The gang is connected to the disappearance of multiple teenage girls, beatings in schools, and stabbings. A case recently heard by the District Court of Annapolis was just sent to the Circuit Court.

Anne Arundel County formed a joint task force to combat the growing presence of MS-13.

Maryland Progressives have been notably silent.

Perhaps, they want to hide the consequences of their Sanctuary State policies.
