Today, we lost Joe Gressis, 42, loving
husband and father of two.
Those of us who have enjoyed the fruits of Joe’s incredible efforts would have enjoyed
any of his several restaurants in Charles
County - Obo’s of Waldorf and Indian Head,
Galazio’s of La Plata, and Lucianna’s of
Waldorf. He also ran the old Uzo’s in
La Plata, beloved and remembered by
many.
Joe was a tireless worker who employed 160
people, whose food was wonderful, but
most importantly, he selflessly fed the
hungry, hired many who might otherwise
have gone jobless, was a mentor to many,
an example to all in many ways.
My family was blessed to have Joe as our
dear friend and son’s godfather.
Our hearts bleed for his loss and for his
family, his young wife, Lucianna,
and especially his 8 year old daughter
and his 6 year old son.
Please, comrades, remember this good
man in your prayers.
