I also just tried to call Rose, it went to voicemail. My application is from 2/14, and it seems like they should be right around that day, but I am getting conflicting answers from my FFL, and I don't trust the info I have gotten from them.

I have been told by my FFL, last week that they were working on apps from 2/5-2/7, then I went in at the start of this week and was told they had only gotten back paperwork from 2/3. A few years ago I bought a gun there and discovered that they sat on my paperwork and did not even send it to MSP for 3 days after I filled it out.

I strongly reccomend you do not buy anything from the Gander Mountain in salisbury, I understand that things are difficult for them right now, but they have made absolutely no attempt to handle the situation correctly, they have inflated their ammo prices, and they can't even get their stories straight. Not to mention the absolutely terrible customer service I get there.

Ladies and Gentlemen, The Eagle Has Landed.

It must have been a MoJo kinda thing. After my long and winded article I posted earlier today, My FFL emailed me at 6:30 pm to inform me my paperwork has arrived. I will pickup my first lower ordered since this debacle started tomorrow. (As a point of interest, I had done a buy from AIM Surplus / Transfer back in mid January. I had that one approved in about 16 days.)

I still have another paperwork load pending from Feb 22nd, so I'm not done yet. So to recap, this is my Paperwork submitted on Feb 11th and approved on 4-04 for a Grand Total Wait of 56 Days.

Still finding the whole thing hard to believe.

REMEMBER THESE DAYS? WHEN WE WERE PROUD? (Well you Old Timers I mean LOL )

(Thats not a bad idea, maybe we should start posting some pics of our new approvals. We certainly all like Gun Porn and others that are still waiting can see that there is truly a light at the end of the tunnel! )

Hmm... I'm still waiting on a 2/12 purchase. Maybe it's time to make some calls...

Can anybody explain how this happens? I've seen it constantly.

One would think the APPs are sorted into files for the day on which they are recieved and the troopers go through them in that order. But obviously thats not how they do it.

Well I know I am going to be very interested to see what the actual approval date is on my Lower that I am picking up today (1 PM appt, I should be there about 12:59pm) I think most of us are so dang happy to get out firearm that no one is coming back and reporting on the approval details. Such as "I was approved on such and such a date but my FFL didnt call me for another 3 days." Maybe even longer.

I think we may find that we are all losing a few days from some FFLs, not all, but some.

One thing I'm thinking is possible is that they sort the troopers into groups to process apps based on some other criteria (say, group A for county 1, group B for county 2, etc). So certain groups work faster than others and certain geographic areas recieve less apps.

But I do know that I've gotten conflicting information from my FFL (just a big box store, who I will never give my business to again) about what dates they are getting back/have gotten back.

Engage is testing the waters as we speak. ATF has indicated frustration with MSP and the current wait time for NCIS #. Contact Andy at Engage and he can explain how they believe they can legally transfer regulated firearms with the standard 7 day period, NCIS number not withstanding.

All I have to say is Andy is a great advocate for us and is willing to hang it out there to improve the process.

Called Gander Mountain just now (called MSP earlier, went to voicemail, same as yesterday), the guy asked me what date I filed on, I told him 2/14, he laughed when he said no.

Either DoubleTap is lucky, or I am particularly unlucky.

Filed for a new firearm on the 2nd. Ugh, you guys don't give me hope.

I bet current applications are looking at 90 days minimum. By the way mine is going I'm thinking it will be 65 or 70 before I pick up, was told 30-45 when I purchased. Never waited more than 10 days in the past.

I am still waiting on a 2/12...by my math that is 52 days....now, counting the time I had to wait for it to actually show up so the dealer could get the SN off of it to submit my paperwork I have been waiting 109 days since I paid in full for my AR.....
