Can anyone recommend an experienced gunsmith to work on one of my Marlin 39's. The one in question is a late 40's vintage and does not load the shell easily, if at all. It seems to get misaligned when the round is being raised from the tube magazine towards the chamber. The round just seems to be loose or sloppy when trying to load.
I thought about the bullet guide, but it looks ok. As I said the round just seems a bit sloppy being raised to the chamber.
Looking for someone with experience on the 39's.
