Would love to send these down range with an SVT-40 but those seem to be quite rare….

Are your bullets .310-.311 diameter? The reason I asked is that the Finn 28-30 has a .308 bore. However, most 91-30'a have a .310 to .312 bore. While .308 diameter bullets can be shot in them, they don't give the accuracy that the rifle is capable of.

I'm not sure 42gr would be enough to cycle the action. I'd say it's on the edge, which is why I asked what you were planning to shoot them with. I'd be curious to see if my PSL would cycle with 42gr.
When bullets become available again, these will give you better accuracy in the Mosin Nagant.

Well the SVTs do have an adjustable gas block so I’m sure you could play with that as well. Idk about a PSL though.
My PSL doesn't have one, but I hear you can get one for it.
Nice. They look store bought.
Helped my youngest son load some .308 Win. for when he goes 'out west' in late August.
.308 Win.
175 gr Sierra MK
Winchester brass - trimmed to 2.005"
W-760 powder
WLR primer
COAL: 2.800"
Need to load at least 40 more, and some .300 WinMag for his trip.
Beautiful - best of luck to your son on the hunt.
Not a hunt, from what he's tellin' me.
It's a "long range class" he's signed up for in Utah, or Colorado, from what I remember.
