If you cannot/are unable to make the 35 copies, please send your written testimony to Andi and Dan before 9 a.m. on Monday 3/3 and they will make sure the copies are made and delivered in time for the committee hearing. Let's keep them busy on Monday making copies :)

Norton said it best last year. Made two mods for the new signup monitors. And the date.

    How to Testify In Annapolis:

    • Pass through security with a photo ID. Treat this as you would airport security.
    • Go to hearing room and stake your claim for a seat
    • If submitting written testimony, you will need 35 copies for the House and 20 copies for the Senate.
    • Written testimony must be submitted by 11:00am
    • Dress is business casual or business suits. Let's not play into their stereotypes.
    • Sign up monitors are just outside the hearing room. Sign up to register your position, even if you don't intend to speak.
    • Typically, the representatives of the major gun groups speak first because they have a coordinated plan for testimony.
    • When you speak, be concise, polite and stay on a single topic. If the day is getting long (and Mar 4 will be a long day), it's OK to just say, "I support/oppose this bill".

SNI - I currently have an arbitration scheduled for that day but if the case settles I will be there!

Given the hearing starts at 1300 and there's 25 bills on the docket, I think its a fair bet we'll still be there. Come on down!

While I was able to make it to Annapolis last year to oppose SB281, it was pretty much only one bill being voted on. Will there be testimony for each and every bill seperately? I hope so!

Yes. Judging by the 1/28 session. They bunched the bills together by sponsor and were not addressed in numerical order. Each and every bill has a separate hearing and the sign up monitor outside the committee room allows people to sign up for each bill separately, but in a single session by entering your information.

It's gonna be a long day with this many bills on the roster.
