Does the AR-platform mitigate the recoil marginally or substantially?

Probably a little but with the mag hanging it probably mitigates a bit of the muzzle rise. I am trying really hard not to buy one. Sharp looking AR Pattern platform shotgun with bolt lock back. THe only real difference between the F12 and X12 is the color options and rail options.

I'm having the same struggle but the more I read up on these, the better they sound. Both models seem to get a lot of praise but I think the X12 is the bargain.
