I just got back. Man was it cold at 5:45 this morning! Thanks to whomever told me about Dunkin Donuts on Harford Road. That was a life saver.

Saw a bunch of MDS members and some old friends from days gone by. Not as big as past shows but most of us think it was due to Covid. When the country opens up, I think BCG&F will be back hummin again.

I moved a bunch of stuff so for me it was an excellent show. :party29:

just got back from the show. as said, a bit smaller than in the past. Not sure why, but still some good stuff to look at. Saw a Mossberg 144 w/Bull Barrel that tempted me, but I was there with a Chinese T53 Mosin for sale and didn't want to hear the home flak for coming home with another rifle. Ended up selling the Mosin to an interesting couple. He showed me several videos of he , his wife, and kids blasting several full autos (!!!!). His wife's favorite was HER full auto 22LR. 250 rounds down range in a hurry.
I asked to be adopted, but he wasn't interested.

I had a little bit of everything there for sale. I sold not too much it seemed but came home with an extra $1800. I had the old military rifles and some ammo for old rifles. Sold some hunting and fishing books and military rifle stocks. Nice show and awesome to meet a few members and talk to them. I thank Butch also for reserving my tables and answering my emails..

My first time going and selling. I only made $80 but that is all right. Had fun meeting and talking and laughing with everyone. I bought a little bit also. Maybe the fall show will have a little more sellers and buyers.

This is what ( significant % of ) gun shows were like 50 yrs ago . Independently put on by a local organization , substantial % of private people and semi- pro . Mix of everything of all vintages .

Somewhat close in spirit and vibe - Jarrettsville VFW , Edgewood Am Legion . A wiff of the flavor - Mt Airy .

Nice show a bit chilly, met up with a few friends. Picked up New Orleans Ace .44 cal boot pistol along with CVA knife kit that included wood sheath unfinished. Some vintage ammo boxes for display and a few boxes of .22 wmr ammo at $15-$18 each. I really enjoy the smaller shows.

My daughter and I went. Found some brass and bullets. Also got a couple books and she joined MSI. I think her favorite thing was the 2 dogs, but thats a different topic.

A bit chilly???? It was 29 when I got there at 0600. I was working there all day.
I enjoyed the show even working it. I even bought a couple things. I always find something I didn't know I needed. Like folks said, small but you never know what you will find.
I saw lots of people leaving with stuff.

I'd have joined it out of convenience but they never seem to have membership open

I have been a members for a few years now and really love how convenient it is. Outdoor covered ranges Pistol, Short Rifle and Rifle out to 200yds. I have been shooting trap lately on Thursday nights and the league on Sundays.

We have anywhere between 10-40 members accepted each year and it is based on availability. If a member does not renew or someone passes away the spot is allocated. All sponsored potential members typically get first dibs on the next years openings if they dont get in the first year.
