Still looking for someone who can move a 1000lb safe down a flight of stairs in baltimore county.

My safe when delivered required going down a flight of stairs. They had a robust stair climbing dolly, driven by a 3/8” battery powered electric drill. It allowed completely controlled decent. I don’t think you’d want anything less. My safe is relatively short in height but still at about 800 lbs. and the guy told me they are actually worse to handle. He said a taller safe gives you in effect a bit more leverage if it starts tipping. I don’t know if that’s really true but FWIW.

I’m in Frederick and J&R Safe and Lock out of Hagerstown did my delivery.

Thompson’s Moving in Forest Hill: great people: moved my 700lb safe, and several others for different MSP friends: very smooth operations all around!
