22 Bolt Action

Looking for a bolt action 22LR with a threaded barrel. Not looking to break the bank but if you have a complete setup I would consider it. Loooking for a Ruger or Savage.

Depending on your budget, look at the Tikka T1X and the CZ 457. Both are fantastic bang for the buck and are really accurate. The T1X has a threaded muzzle and some of the CZs are also threaded.

I recently bought the Ruger American 22 with stainless steel threaded barrel. Very happy with it. I shoot 1" groups at 50 yds but I think a more accomplished marksman could cut that in half with this rifle.

Do they still make the savage fv-sr? My savage will shoot under an inch at 50 yards with even the cheapest ammo.

Can go wrong with a Savage. This was $235 for just the rifle, very accurate

Do yourself a favor and get a CZ. Hands down the best production bolt .22 out there that is under $500. I have a 452 but wish I had a 457. Stupid accurate and nicely made. My BIL got the savage, maybe I'm a snob but the CZ is 10X better.

Ive had Savages in the past great accurate rifles and smooth, and not expensive. I checked out a CZ 457 yesterday after reading plenty of excellent reviews. But sadly i was not impressed for the 500 price tag of the one I handled.

I have really fallen for the CZ 22s that I have, Dan at Baltimores Best had fair prices on the 457 American a little while ago. It would be hike for you but if you make it to the area might be worth checking.
