So now the Left is fully in Control. Can we embrace the result?

People are dying left and the other left...

    https://bigleaguepolitics.com/new-r...soaring-in-democrat-controlled-urban-centers/

Democrat-run Chicago: arrests/stops are down 53 percent, murders are up 65 percent.

Democrat-run New York City: arrests/stops are down 38 percent, murders are up 58 percent.

Democrat-run Louisville: arrests/stops are down 35 percent, murders are up 87 (not a typo) percent.

Democrat-run Minneapolis: arrests/stops are down 42 percent, murders are up 64 percent.

Democrat-run Los Angeles: arrests/stops are down 33 percent, murders are up 51 percent.

Democrat-run St. Louis is now “America’s Murder Capitol.” In 2020, the murder rate hit “a 50-year high, with 87 out of every 100,000 residents being murdered.”

Is this how America wants to live?

I was looking up stats and it looks like there were multiple shooting ineidents almost everyday since the first of the years, What the heck is going on. I grew up in an era where you had a deer rifle in your car when you went to schoo. The whole world has gone batsh*t crazy. This is the time where you do need a firearm!

Data is sketchy and combed through for the result they want as deeply as possible. Democratic and Republican led cities are both seeing surges in violence for tons of reasons, but personally I think it comes down to idle hands. More people laid off and unable to work and desperate leads to more crime.

When there's a perception of lawlessness and anarchy, it leads to more lawlessness and anarchy. General crime, the left-wig riots last summer, and the Jan 6, um, incident, all contribute to an atmosphere of anarchy, fed by media that profits off of manufactured outrage and grievance. In a way, it almost doesn't exactly matter how and when the current cycle started, the problem that needs attention is how to break that positive feedback loop before we end up as a large, nuclear-armed, Somalia.

Leave some trash...you know, dump it...on the side of the road somewhere.

Next thing that happens is somebody else sees your trash and decides it’s a good place to dump trash so they dump theirs there too.

Pretty soon, you’ve got a good pile going.

One of the laws of the universe. Trash attracts more trash. Then there’s a dump.

It’s the gravity of human behavior. Ever hear of monkey see, monkey do?

There is actual science behind why people become criminals. I am being serious.
It has to do with two things in their childhood.
    1. The number of adverse childhood events, called "ACEs", they experienced. These are things like did they see their mother beaten by their father, where they abused, was there an ugly divorce, was a parent in jail or not present, was a primary caregiver present, did a primary caregiver die, were drugs in the family, did they experience real hunger from lack of food, was there a constant threat of violence from the neighborhood.
    AND...
    2. Did they have a stable support system to help them through the traumatic events?

Look in the prisons and the gangs, they are full of adults that had a sh!tty childhood and basically no stable or consistent caregiver to nurture them through the traumatic times. Just google - early childhood trauma leading to criminal behavior. You will find a mountain of evidence.

To fix this, you need to weed out the unfit parents and support those that are at risk. It will take generations to fix.
Societal values, respect for one another, and their duty as a caregiver must be instilled in all would-be parents.

I as well. Carried a .22 rifle to and from grade school - in LG Co no less!

There were no video games back then ... :sad20:

Our society will never approve of the methods required to fix it. Instead, they glorify the behaviors that cause it.

But the tools to fix this are being blocked by our elected politicians daily :/

Or, some people are just inherently bad. They are plenty of people who had $hitty childhoods who grew up to become respectable members of society.

The initial data for the basis of that article is from 2018-2019 for one of their states

    2015-2016 for another

    2016-2017 for another

I’m not denying the sentiment but they probably should have used more relevant data.
