I have an AR pistol and would like to add a slip-on comfort pad to the end of the brace. Would this be a legal no-no? Thanks!

He said he has a brace.
Thanks for all the replies. I'm referring to a cushioned rubber pad that slips on to the end of the brace (or onto a stock on a rifle). Easy on, easy off, non-permanent. IIRC, brands include Limb Saver, Recoil Tamer, among others. Here's what I mean:

Why not just go the SBR route?
I mean hell we can shoulder our braces now!
Now you want to press your luck by adding a rubber pad on the brace*♂️
I don't need a full stock SBR. Not interested in going the NFA route with its attendant BS (tax stamp, fingerprints, 8-month wait). I just want to soften the edge of brace. If it's not kosher, so be it. Just thought I'd ask.
I would avoid any modification of the brace, permanent or not. I think removing the brace straps is even a no-go.
No harm in asking now ask the mods to delete the threadI don't need a full stock SBR. Not interested in going the NFA route with its attendant BS (tax stamp, fingerprints, 8-month wait). I just want to soften the edge of brace. If it's not kosher, so be it. Just thought I'd ask.
