    Some good recommendations.

It would help if, you know, where these movies might be found. Some have posted You Tube links. But Netflix? AMazon Prime? Other?

If you think that is dark read the book.

I read the book on Kindle and I thought that they just had a stupid kid do the conversion from paper to electronic because there was virtually no punctuation at all so I went on google and looked up the author and they say he doesnt like to use punctuation so I just got mad at him instead of the stupid kid who loaded the book into Kindle because it is not his fault that Cormac whatshisname thinks he is too good to punctuate his writing

    Panic in the year zero

I love the scene where the Frankie shoots the bad guy with a shotgun!
That's the way to do it! Blindside the bastards!

Man what they taught us growing up. Ha Ha Ha.
Jr. High - trying to make me get under my desk for a nuclear detonation. We were four miles from the white house! What a joke. I asked the teacher how many mega tons did he think were going to drop on DC. Just told me to shut up and sit quietly.

Night of the Comet classic 80’s B movie. More comedy then si-fi horror.

OMG, I remember that movie. I saw that way back when, when I wasn't supposed to be watching those movies on my grandmothers cable.

I guess one movie off the top of my head I really like, is Book of Eli.

    Anyone remember "On the Beach"?

Sure, very good movie, well written, based on the excellent novel of the same name. Bit of a downer, though.

Today's viewers would find it woefully lacking in special effects. IMHO it shows that really good movies don't need a lot of special effects, the brain's pretty good at supplying its own.
