AFAIK The only other NR permit that PA honors without licensing restrictions (other than in state training is TX.

IN requires you to have a business in or be employed in IN to get a NR permit

IA is so restrictive as to be non existent for NR. Your only real option other than TX is NH with no prints and no training required.

Pa has seperate Statutes for Vehicle carry and on foot carry. The Vehicle Carry statute requires a Permit issued by any jurisdiction, whether or not recognizd for " normal" CCW.

So if you have, for example , Utah , you may pack openly or concealed in your vehicle, but must be Open when you exit the vehicle. And avoid Philadelphia and only Philadelphia.

Yes, this seems wierd on the face of it, and about as logical as most things Maryland, but this is how it is.

There have been several threads on this, just not for several months now. In previous threads, people more computer literate than I have linked the respective Statutes on this.

swinokur, I had just done a quick search on usacarry.com where it appeared that IN and IA were options. It is a shame that they limit NR permits to those who work there. So, it does appear that TX and NH are the only games in town if you want to be ale to carry in PA and don't have the near mythical MD permit.
