I'm heading to the theater in Hershey Park for a concert next weekend, and was wondering if anyone has done it before.

IIRC, the park rules says no weapons, but I also hear they don't have metal detectors.

Give it a go? Or not a good idea?

IMHO since the park is private property and the owners request that no weapons be brought onto the premises, locking it up in the trunk of your car would be the smart thing to do.

I think you answered your own question...

"IIRC, the park rules says no weapons"

If you plan on breaking the rules/law last thing id recommend is posting your intent to do so on a forum.

If it says no weapons... you know what? Nevermind.

It's an amusement park for God's sake. If you are that concerned for your safety, please stay home.

There is security at the gate with handheld detectors. Or at least there were last June when I went. Also, the don't allow pocket knives either.

So you want to carry in a crowded stadium??? Like I said, please stay home.

Please tell me you are kidding.

I know a guy who open carried into a crowded Hershey Bears Hockey game...I don't really see a problem doing it a concert.

As many times as I hear "Always be prepared" from 90% of the people on this forum, and now everyone is jumping down my throat for wanting to be prepared.

I won't bring it. Keep it classy.

oh, well in that case - arm up :sad20:

    What's with all the hostility?

I asked a simple question, and it's been brought up before on many different forums. Many of which, people stated they CC into the park, and/or stadium.

Instead of giving straight answers, lets all be smart asses. That helps.

It's not Six Flags...you'll be fine! Peanut butter cups make good projectiles :)

    Jk man

I wonder if sling shots are ok? :innocent0

Just to clarifiy here...I had no inclination that I would not be safe. I was reading conflicting things online, and wanted some clarification.

    Thanks to everyone that helped.
