I'm hoping to get out of MD and into Lancaster County since I heard the propert tax is nuts in Chester County.

What are the gun laws, CCW law, etc... like there? What's up that way for ranges and does PA have a stupid list of approved pistols you can own?

Yes in Pa. we have a handgun list..........if it is in the store it is cash and carry. carry permits are issued from the county courthouse, when they are not busy it is usually quick( I'm in York co. mine took about 15 mins.) about a mile from 272 and 372 is southern Lancaster county farmers and sportsman association -great gun club- web site - http://www.slcfsa.com/ check them out.

Right after I moved up here from Maryland, I went out of my way to buy a handgun that was not approved by Maryland, a North American Arms mini-revolver. Bought it at the York gun show and walked out with it only minutes after the instant check went through.

If you find a place in southern Lancaster near PA-1 you can be in Chester or even Philadelphia pretty quick.
