Stopped in yesterday after having breakfast with my brother and family.

They had no, zippo, no powder or primers. No 300 BO mags except for an expensive model that was like $37. I forget the manufacturers name.

Plenty of bullets including Hornady and lots of bulk pistol bullets. Very little 100 round boxes of pistol ammo except for 9mm.

Lots of rifle ammo and an isle of shotgun ammo but I didn't check the type.

Thank you, John. Do you really need 300 BO magazines? I thought 556 mag would do (just don't mix it up).

For the bullets I use, LEE 160 gn, I have to shave the plastic guides on 5.56 mags to make them feed reliably. The hickups aren't too often but usually a bullet get torn up in the process so, when I can find cheap 300 magpuls, I buy some. :D

I was just considering driving up from HoCo, dropping the wife off at the Christiana mall and bumming around there. I like checking out their used and C&R stuff at their gun library.

Once BP bought Cabelas you knew it was going to hell. When times were hard BP was happy to you how reloading supplies were unobtainable while at the same time Cabelas was stocked. Screw BP

I was there about 2 weekends ago passing through. PIcked up some bulk 22LR and noticed much of what John reported. The thing I noticed is the racks of used guns were either moved somewhere else or just plain gone. I used like fondling the used overpriced used guns. Most of them were junk, over priced or severely bubba'd milsurps but was always interesting to kill some time.
I also was looking for mags, was looking for metal AR mags and saw none.

I quit going there. No bargain cave anymore. Gun library pretty much gone. I'm in Cecil County and work in Delaware most of the time and always just drive past. If I ever need standard capacity magazine's or anything while in DE I just go to X-ring. BP ruined Cabelas.

They have had the gun library and a small bargain cave for the last couple months, but still not what it used to be. Selection in almost every department is pathetic compared to what it was. BP really did destroy a great brand.

Have you tried the old school metal follower 20 rounders? Works with my 200g cast and coated pills.

The gun library is not what it used to be. Better to go to Greentop in Richmond. It blows Cabelas away

Just an update, as we made a trip up to Christiana today. They have tons of .223/5.56. All of it rather expensive though, avg $0.65/0.70 per rd. They had pallets of the 150rd bulk packs at $95/ea. Handgun ammo was spotty. Some .40s&w and .357, but very little 9mm or .45.

On the plus side they had piles of pmags at pre-pandemic prices. $13/15 for the gen2/gen3 respectively as well as the 50rd .308 drums, glock mags including the 27rds, and akm 30s.

Was there last night. Lots of 5.56. No 9mm, .45 or .22 at all. The only shotgun ammo on the shelves was 28 gauge.

No powder or primers, lots of bullets.
