So I decided to build my first AR-15. The process was fun and informative.

    Image_1 2020-06-15_20-16-30.jpg

Went with the pistol form factor. Started with a Palmetto State Armory Lower and went from there.

    Lower: Palmetto State Armory
    LPK: CMMG
    Grip/Trigger Guard: Magpul
    Trigger: Rise Armament
    Buffer: Spikes Tactical Spring/Weight
    Brace: SBA3
    Upper: Aero Precision M4E1
    BCG: Aero Precision Black Nitride
    Charging Handle: Radian Raptor-LT
    Barrel: Faxon 5.56 Nato Pencil
    Gas Tube: Aero Precision Melonited
    Adjustable Gas Block: Superlative Arms
    Handguard: Aero Precision Atlas S-One
    MBUS: Magpul
    Muzzle Device: Strike Industries

I have an angled handstop, but it needs an adapter. I'll probably add a light (SureFire or Streamlight).

Your one BUIS is on backwards and the shoulder thing that goes up, is pointing the wrong way.

How did you get a lower from Palmetto? I am reading that they do not ship anything to MD. I wanted to buy their complete AR-15, but for some reason on web site it says not compliant.

That’s odd. Maybe it was the barrel length. The only thing that they can’t ship are high round mags.

My lower was shipped to my ffl. Took about 10 days.

Anybody know if bcm offers heavy barrels in any of their upper received groups? I see several mentioning government profiles barrels, but some don’t say anything , but appear to be a heavy barrel to the eye.

Only problem is, I'm not sure BCM calls this an Hbar. Colt does call theirs an Hbar.
