I am looking for info regarding the Tac Sol internally suppressed barrel for the NON takedown 10/22. Anyone have one? Do you like it?

I don't have the Tac Sol, but do have a MIST TD. It is a hoot. I really don't think that there is a whole of difference between the few that are out there. Ruger has one as well, but does not get rave reviews.
I have shot a Tac Sol integral on pistols and was pleased with them.
If you want to try the mist, let me know. But you will have to come up this way, meaning Timonium/Parkville. That is when the weather warms up.

I’ve got a Mist non-TD. It’s fun but not great. I’m trying to remember the story so maybe this is wrong but early models had a port at the base before the baffles start. This improved suppression but increased fouling in the can. Later ones don’t have the port (mine). First round pop is pretty loud and follow up, while quieter, isn’t what I expected from this can. Fouling is still impressive. Less than 200 rounds and it was almost impossible to remove the shroud. Days of Kroil and some serious work were required to remove. Took it off and bought a threaded barrel and use my cans now. Not saying I wouldn’t try Tac-sol though. Wish I had one to compare.

The trick to keeping the shroud loose with any of them is give it a few turns during your shooting session, then loosen it when done. That port was to suppress supersonic rounds. I have the later version and have been very happy with it.
Fouling with any 22 can is impressive.

I apply either c5a or aerosol grease to all rimfire baffles and centerfire pistol baffles prior to assembly. This helps but some persuasive methods can still be needed to get them apart.

360 cST silicone lube is also helpful. Heat the internals in the oven to 250 deg. Then soak them in the silicone until room temp. Set them out over night on a paper towel, then re-assemble.

I have the TacSol internally suppressed 10/22. Have never been impressed at all by its accuracy. Last shot it probably six years ago. Wouldn’t buy another.
