What powder you using and what's the part#/stock #?
Are you doing anything to the bullets after you drop from the mold?
PM me your address and I'll drop some of the powder I use in the mail to you.
I have the same problem on my first batch and this works for me.Clean the bullets with a solvent (acethone) is what I use but can be mineral spirits or maybe alcohol let them air dry and warm them up a bit.I use my oven at 140f for 3 to 4 minutes just warm is all they need. After that then drop them in your #5 container and shake for a minute or two.
I seem to recall some people posting cleaning bullets before using the Hi-Tek coating.
I had no problems with hi tek sticking, it just flaked off and leaded when shooting.
I can see it cleaning any impurities.
I"m puzzed why he has a problem, he's using the same powder I"m using.
We need to try to eliminate some items as the problem

hmmm, I want to ship him some bullets and powder I have and do a mix with say the same powder and the same bullets that I send him. If he tries the same powder and bullet combo, and it does not stick, we know its something else.
Sounds like a plan.
BTW, how was the fishing this weekend?

Powder - I have only used RAL Sky Blue from Powder by the Pound
Bullets - Cast from am NOE mold, 183 grain 30 caliblers, WW hardness and water quenched. Same problem with pure lead 45 cast from a lee mold though.
Plastic mixing - #5 container. I did make a separate pvc tube for the HF tumbler for powder but have not used it yet.
Location - I tried my garage, too damp. Basment, dryer but still 50% and last round I did at the kitchen island, While momma was at work.
Person - Just this lost cause , it seems
I have not had the time to try wiping the sides down with cling wrap and I do not have acetone. I can get some, but what do you wash them in and lay on to dry? As spoken before I get a clumpy, spotty adhesion. Some places it sticks and won;t come off and most other places it just will not stick period.
I have been doing heavy swirling and some up and down banging, but not a lot.
To be honest, I understand it might nt be perfect trying new things, but this has been like breaking your leg trying to learn how to run. I have a hard time figuring out how I screwed this up so badly.
How vigorous are your swirling and shaking? Should be as hard as if you were making butter in a mason jar.
