Take a look at Yankee Hill Machine cans. The bang for the buck is there with YHM. Silencer Shop has them, but you'll have to call and back order them if they show a OOS. I backordered 2x Resonator R2 cans over the phone and about 2 weeks later they were being sent to my dealer. If you were to buy or start the process of buying a suppressor, say tomorrow am, what would you get and where would you get it...
For a 556, 18" Gas Piston side-charging carbine?
Off the top of my head, shorter and lighter would seem to be a benefit...

Which can did you get?Done. Now the wait begins.... Thanks for the quick input.
So i bought the YHM flash hider qd and the instructions say to have the barrel threads checked to make sure they are within spec to avoid baffle strikes, hmmmm, just YHM covering their butts or is it a procedure to follow? Current YHM flash hider isn't a problem...
ALL barrel need to be checked for consentricity(sp). Meaning, some rifle bores are not necessarily centered to the barrel. If that is the case, the rifle bore will be off center to the suppressor bore possibly resulting in a baffle strike. I have rods for .224, .308, and 9mm.
Not only that, you should always test you ammo for flight stability before running it through your can. This is especially crucial when developing and shooting reloads. Make sure they make nice round holes in the target before you try them through your can.
Where do you buy the rods for this purpose?
TIA
