It doesn’t come stock with night sights like the Sig and Hellcat do. Ruger also just introduced a micro 10/12 rounder too.

I am a big fan of the M&P Shield and have carried one for 8 years. I’m looking to move from a .40 to a 9mm and after doing a lot of research a month ago went with a Hellcat. I couldn’t justify giving up that much in capacity by going with a Shield 2.0. But now I will be buying a Shield Plus as soon as its on the roster and probably putting the Hellcat back in the safe once I get the Shield Plus.

I love my Shield 45. Recoil is more tame than my buddies Shield 40. I'm sure this new 9 plus version will be great also!

So when in August will we be able to buy the Shield Plus?

Assuming it has not already been applied for, 24-October

Petitions to add are due 18-August in preparation for the 08-September HRB meeting. If approved, it goes into the MD Register 24-Sept, then allow 30 days for objections, if none, legal sale is ~24-October.

Just like the Ruger LCP MAX I’m waiting for, all per MSP email last week.

There are many high quality pistols, get the one that fits you best. 365 for me seems to small in the grip.

Have you tried the XL? It adds a pinkie width (making the 12rnd mags flush fit) to the length of the grip. I put my regular 365 in an XL grip frame (about $40 and 30 seconds of work), and it's great...for a little gun.

Tried both and it's not necessarily th grip length but it's width, just feels to small. I'm happy with the shield, fits me just fine.

Has anyone heard if this made the cut in the June 9th meeting? Any idea if the handguns approved at that meeting have been announced and added to the roster, or when that is expected to happen?
