Agree. Seems to be a nice time to stock up on centerfire rounds.

22LR is still noticeably stubborn when it comes to price drops, although availability is pretty good now.

I'm due for my annual stock up. I bought 10 ammo cans earlier this year and 5 are still empty. Might be time to pull the trigger although I feel like if I wait prices will keep dropping.

Gungrabageddon won't take place with an HRC loss.

Gun and ammo sellers can no longer justify their sky-high, buy now or else, prices.

If folks sit back and wait a bit, prices will fall some more.

Does nobody expect supply and demand to equal out and prices raise slightly? Could they really continue to fall?

    No. Yes. :)

just don't see 308 and 54r dropping the price, why?
Just got this notice from gun-deals.net:

    .308/7.62x51 - $359.5/1000 :: 36 cents per round (SGAmmo.com)
    Wolf Polyformance (Barnaul) - 145gr FMJ PY/BE/NC

    Deal Link: http://gun-deals.com/displaydeal.php?dealid=34278

Your maximum cost per round for .308/7.62x51 is currently set at 40 cents/round

I would hope with the new administration imported milsurp like 7.65x25 will become plentiful again.

We're always one "event" away from an ammo run.

I'd love to stock up on more, but I have to find a major home renovation. I'll just hope the trend will continue on lowering ammo prices and I'll be patting myself on the back when I can afford to stock up in a year.

That said, I might make a little purchase, just to fill up the last nooks and crannies of my nearly full ammo boxes. I just won't buy any more boxes or cases to whisper seductively to me that they need to be filled.

A couple of hundred rounds of .223/5.56 and a few boxes of .308/7.62 should max me out. My 20/12ga and .22lr cases are maxed.

Anybody who's feeling particularly good about current social conditions and their relationship with ammo prices simply needs to keep their wallet in their pocket and play the hand they have... it's all good.

I'm good with that. I still smell some social stench. I trust society not so much and that's decreasing as I type. I'll keep laying in what I can, when I can....that and training.

My hand includes enough ammo that if I ever end up as news on TV, the bleach-blond newsreader will describe it with visible shock and disgust as an "arsenal with X-thousands of boolits!".

When they hear that, capital-L Liberals will wet their pants in fear, but MDS members will all think "what a lightweight!" :D

I need to check on the going price for excavating another underground storage bunker.
