I have a 10/22 Target (the only rifle with the twists outside the barrel) that is sighted in at 50 yards.
Since I am a Yankee and want to save money how many clicks/inches to raise POI at 100 yards?

Depending on gun and ammo, the drop from 50 to 100 is approx 6 inches from my notes on my 22 using CCI SV.
So if it is 1 click per 1/4" @ 100, that is 24 clicks of UP That should keep you on paper.

The most important part.. how high is the scope mount

Best bet. Just shoot a round and see what the drop is. Then adjust your scope elevation.

Just get a hit on paper and then while an assistant solidly holds the rifle in a cradle move the reticle from the center of point of aim to where the bullet strike is. Depending on what type of ammo is used its prolly 4-6" low@100. With 40 gr. American eagle my rifle is 4" low at 100 when sighted in at 50. >22 ammo is cheap dont over think it.

Whatever happened too walking your rounds up one click at a time until you get to where you need to be?

    You take good notes.

A very good ballpark estimate with 22lr, given a 50 yard sight in.

6 inches. Close enough and easy enough to commit to memory.

Too much time, too much ammo.

You can sight in with 3 - 5 rounds. Why would you shoot 25 to do the same thing?

    JBM Ballistics

You can input your parameters and get a ballistics table for any caliber, any load, any rifle.

Yep. With a standard velocity .22lr, start at 6 inches for 100 yds with a 50 yd sight-in and work from there.

Probably about 8 inches. You may be able to zoom in on your scope until you can use where the duplex reticle goes from skinny to fat as a 100 yard aiming point...just remember or notch what power works so you can use it later.
