Yes, all original. the 2 rarest ones have lost some of the original blackening but they're all in pretty good condition. Sometimes when I find a better one than the one I have I buy it and sell or trade the other one.

Cool stuff, are you going to skewer a pig at a party? :)

Here's all of my current US 1918 Mark I trench knives, some are in mint unused condition. Bottom right is a WWII knife made in a similar style but with a MK2 blade.

Recently got this rare WWII Australian Z-Unit special forces knuckle knife. The Z Unit were tasked with sabotaging Japanese military interests during WWII and apparently less than 200 of these knives were made. One story I read talks about how they used disguised Japanese fishing boats to travel deep into enemy territory and attack Japanese naval vessels. When they were caught the Japanese would torture and execute them, what a brave group of guys!

Took me 20 years to find an HD&S(Henry Disston and Sons of Philadelphia, PA) Mark I trench knife. VERY rare, only a few were made by them before WWI ended....

I got this one from an auction along with a 1917 bayonet and a few other pocket knives a few years back. Fairly confident it's not a fake but if I'm mistaken let me know. Mine looks better than some I've seen in museums and the scabbard has both prongs. Apparently post war folks thought the black coating was corrosion or something; hence the scrubbing off.:sad20:

I've wanted one since I was a kid watching Rat Patrol or whatever:D

I recently watched The Big Red 1 again, this time with an eye on the weapons. One that got my attention was the WWI trench knife Lee Marvin used several times.

Crazed horse breaks the stock of Lee Marvin's rifle (why did he place it against the cross?) Lee escapes the horse only to hear something else approaching, pulls his trench knife and goes primal. Lee win's the fight but later encounters a personal struggle when he learns the was has been over for hours; murder vs killing, a theme throughout the movie.

I pick up something new each time I watch it; one of the best movies of all time in my book.

That's about as good as it gets! Very nice one. Please let me know if it's for sale or trade.

Here’s a repro handle with a blade I made. All aged to look old.
