Long story short, my driver's license is old and the address is no longer current. I changed it years ago and got a little change of address card in the mail. Well, after I put in the paperwork on a handgun, I lost it. The MVA will not issue me another one because they say I just need to get a new driver's license altogether. But in order to do that I have to wait like a month to get an appointment, if I'm lucky.
Gun shop will not release the firearm to me even though I have been not disapproved. Is there any way around this? Does the gun shop actually need to see a change of address card or new drivers license, or are they allowed to accept another proof of residence?
Thanks
