Nice. Although I wish they had a complete regular Joe as a plaintiff. The 2 plaintiffs here would likely qualify in MD and thus may get permits the second SCOTUS accepts the case.

TIme to test the waters. I wonder if NY CA and MD will make them stop before SCOTUS like they did to DC or maybe NJ will have a pair and take it up to SCOTUS and make all the Lintarded cities loss thier G&S and become shall issue like the freedom loving states like TX and WV

WV isn't shall issue, WV is constitutional carry. They WERE shall issue and are to those seeking to actually hold a permit (for reciprocity with other states), but it's not required for anyone, from any state of residency, to have a permit to conceal carry in WV.

It sucks to be us in Maryland, with all these idiots in the general assembly. Illinois, and Washington DC got shall issue prior to us. It looks like New Jersey may get it before us too......

I never said it was shall issue. I said MD needs to be shall issue. I know WV is constitutional carry and I excercise my right there every day. I live in the line just minutes from WV and go there for everything. MD doesnt get a dime from me that I can avoid. The only reason I havent moved over to WV there is my Jeep wont pass thier inspection and I cant tag it historic like I have done in MD. Once I have that figured out I am done with this socialist state

If NJ goes shall issue it’ll be because SCOTUS made them, which means MD would be right after.

Dude if that is your only reason just ditch the jeep or fix it so it will pass. Thats such a small reason to hold out on freedom.

Not so sure your Jeep won’t pass. It’s a safety inspection (headlights work, wipers work, no exhaust leaks). I passed when we moved here with 3/32” tire tread (didn’t expect to but the deadline came quick). Heck I found a shop that would pass anything. I had an exhaust leak and he said just make sure the kids don’t ride in the car, I told him
It’s a commuter car and the van is for the family and he slapped the sticker on. Plus the fine if they pull you over for that is like $100. I’ve known people who haven’t done the inspection in years

Just a note in case anyone's wondering about timing of this case. Rogers (an almost identical case in the same circuit) was filed in the district court in February 2018 and went to its first SCOTUS conference in February 2019.
So if all holds the same we could see this case in conference a year from now which would give it a decent shot at being heard and decided by June 2022.
Pray that Clarence Thomas especially stays in good health.

And Drake came out of NJ in 2010-ish as well. SAF likes filing there and in the 3rd Circuit...

Drake would have taken longer since it was the initial case after Heller. These cases are essentially telling the lower courts that, "We lose here due to circuit precedent, please send us to SCOTUS."

You have a better legal mind than I, but what if they take one for the team like DC did in Wrenn?

Good question although I think NJ would draw the line and fight all the way.
With SAF filing suit in NJ and now NY, I wouldn’t be surprised if they also file a MD lawsuit.
