I get a lot of questions about how to leave feedback when the "Commit to Buy" button hasn't been used. The CTB button automates this process.

However, you should be able to leave feedback without using the CTB.

The following three graphics describe the process.

Before opening the thread, and given the recent appearance of a certain long running thread regarding user features, I figured it would be about something else.:innocent0

I think the trick is that you have to start from the ad. A link to the ad is PM'd when CTB is used so that's a no-brainier, but it can be hard to find if CTB was not used and the ad is taken down.

Yes, that's true if CTB is used. However, you should be able to "manually" leave feedback using the above instructions.

The feedback process needs to be revised. I cannot figure out how to leave feedback. I closed the ad and now there is no link anywhere.
How do I get to the above menu?

OK, I'm going to try this here first. I recently posted a classified ad in which I was selling items to multiple buyers so the CTB button was never used. I would like to leave feedback for those multiple buyers. All transactions/communications were handled by PM.

So, how do I do that? Is it possible?

It takes a little work if the ad is closed

You need to look up the person's name in the Community link on the main page and find their number

    http://www.mdshooters.com/memberlist.php

here is mine # example Texasbob=19752

    http://www.mdshooters.com/member.php?u=19752

then go to these link and put in the person's Number at the end of the last =

    http://www. mdshooters.com/vbclassified.php?do=userfeedback&userid=19752

    http://www.mdshooters.com/vbclassified.php?do=user&userid=19752

on the left side of the page you see a Submit Feedback For:persons name

Or you can go straight to the feed back page at the link below and put the person # at the end of the last =

    http://www. mdshooters.com/vbclassified.php?do=userfeedback&userid=

    http://www.mdshooters.com/vbclassified.php?do=feedback&userid=

Yea that a lot of work but unless they add a button, it the only way I found it can be done after ads has been taken down.:innocent0

Note you need to remove the space after the http://www.
I had to show it that way or the URL get shortened with .....

Thank you. Your instructions worked great. There's a lesson here somewhere.

I've found this process to be difficult on MDS also. Guess I'm too used to the feedback feature on RFC.

I concede that I used the classifieds in somewhat of an unconventional manner. I wasn't selling a single item to a single individual where the CTB button would have made sense. Nor do I know what the answer is to making the process easier when circumstances like mine present themselves. So, while I'd like a more user friendly mechanism, I can deal with it now that I have a go-to set of instructions.

Not sure if this is the proper place to address this.

I have 19 people who left me feedback, but my score is 12. One transaction the seller double posted feedback. So I understand why that wasn't counted, but all of the others were separate transactions and should be counted. The problem is that sometimes I had multiple transactions within a short time period so I guess they look like dupes. My score should be 18. Is there anything that can be done to fix it?

    Thanks in advance!

Finally getting my feet wet with the new software, especially Classifieds.
I note the "Conversations" envelope button, and it is great to work from...
My question is: I have accumulated a few conversations, and the subject to which they refer are now outdated. For instance chats about "Classified" items are no longer needed.....can those conversations be deleted? or are they "forever" ??

Sorry, I'm totally lost with "Conversations", PMs I knew, but I'm lost with "Start Conversations" I just don't where to look . I can read them from the "envelope" button, after that i'm lost. Guess it comes with being 83 years

Click on the envelope. It will show the last couple "PMs" you started or received. Just below them, you'll see "Show all - Start a new conversation". Click on "Show all". The graphic is a bit different than what you're used to seeing, but each 'conversation' has a little red box in it. You can click that red box and decide what you want to do with that conversation. Delete, move to folder, etc.

Hate to bring up a old thread. But Im trying to leave feedback for a gun I sold/listed on here and the buyer didn't use the CTB button. How the hell do I leave feedback for him? Am I missing something or is this not possible?

    Disregard I figured it out.
