For those of you who own a Air Venturi Avenger, I have some advise for you. Buy one of these moderators.

I have tried a couple and this is really quiet. Backyard quiet to be exact. It is a 3D made part but it is very well made and does a great job. You might think it is a bit expensive but, trust me, the cheaper ones, while they do work, are not as quiet as this one.

That said, I have not run this over my Chrony and won't until spring. Judging from where the shot hits on my 50 yd steel plate, it is not slowing it down too much. The shots from un moderated to moderated at 50 yards are within 3/4 of inch. The lighter pellets are the loudest but it is still back yard quiet.

I just love this rifle! :party29::party29::party29:

Seems like a lot for a 3d printed part. You can print your own.

Hi John from MD - seems like we're on a lot of the same threads. I'm in Odenton - you nearby?

Relatively, I live in Davidsonville. As for making my own, 3D printing is something I am not interested in learning. I am shedding projects at this age, not taking on new ones. :D

There is a guy who sells a 3D printed model on Ebay, I believe he calls his an air stripper. It is about $10. I have both now. The $22 moderator is quiet a bit quieter.

I 3D print a lot of stuff and would be willing to print a limited number of (legal) things for MD shooters people locally (Whiskey is appreciated). I can print you one of my designs if you like (most of my things are here: https://www.thingiverse.com/euler357/designs)

I must say I am impressed. American ingenuity at its finest!

Thanks for the offer, but I am downsizing as I only want to take the minimum of stuff to FL when we leave in two years.
