Just ordered a Donnyfl silencer for my Avenger. I have been using an internal stripper that I got from Ebay and, while quieter, it still scares off the birds after one shot.

In the past I have used TKO silencers and am very happy with their quality. This time I bought the Donnyfl Tanto as many folks I know are using them on the higher powered airguns.

Changing from 3000 PSI to 4300 PSI guns forces you to change your thinking in several different areas. In many ways, shooting my .25 is like shooting a .22 Long Rifle so I needed to adjust my backstops as well.

Are you shooting subsonic or supersonic with that?
Educate me. how to they make them "for air guns only"?

Well, I am shooting subsonic 33 to 40 gn pellets. I haven't put out the Chrony since it is too damn cold to do so. I estimate my pellets are doing 800 FPS.

The silencers for air guns only are made of plastic, carbon fiber and sometimes aluminum for the screw end cap. Shoot one on a real rifle and poof you just wasted 100 to 300 bucks. ;)

I have the sumo on my .22 and its notably quieter than my .25 marauder with factory baffles. I also got the extended adapter so I can still use the dust cap for the foster connector without removing the can.

I got the adapter as well. I had a hard time deciding between the Tanto and Sumo but, since I live in a rural area, I don't have a need to be whisper quiet. Sometimes I wish my neighbors would buy cans for their machine guns.

I received my Donnyfl TANTO silencer yesterday. Even though it was shitty wx, I set up on the tonneau cover of the pickup in the garage and put a 2x6 fifty yards away. This silencer is quieter than the one piece internal air strippers that they sell on ebay. It is quietest when setting the regulator down to about 2200 pounds. If I were going to shoot at 3000 pounds all the time, I think the Sumo would be better as it handles more volume without too much additional weight.

The silencer was ordered and received in two days. That is pretty good in today's shipping environment. He ships via Fedex and it costs $10.50 to MD. The silencer is well made and was packed in a hard cardboard container so it couldn't be damaged.

This is my first Air Rifle silencer from this company but you can be sure it won't be my last.

If I use JSB Exact Diablo 25gn, I can shoot dime sized groups leaning on my tonneau cover. These are shot at 2200 PSI. If I boost the power to 2900, I can do the same thing with JSB King 33gn. Of course the POI is about 4 inches off. Since it has been too cold to get the Chrony out, I have not tuned this gun and am adjusting artillery style (by fall of shot).

When it gets warmer, I will tune the Avenger and also find out which pellets my Gamo Wildcat likes. Until then, I will just have to keep on shooting dime sized groups.
