looks like these are finally starting to get out to dealers.

This appears to be a great upgrade to a 9mm suppressor that does other calibers as well, including .556 with the correct " brake system".

gotta get some money saved up :)

Im sighting guns in with just the brake on them, then once I screw the can on (qd), I can barely even tell where I’m hitting.

Like my hold over at 25 yards was over a foot away to the right.

Is the suppressor really throwing the guns off that far ?

    Oh stop it John.

I’m just trying to figure out why/ how the heck my firearms go from spot on to way off simply by adding the wolfman.

FYI, I'm not making a disparaging remark so don't let it upset you.

I use the popcorn emoji whenever I want to follow a thread where I may learn something. Since I haven't received my first can yet, I have no experience with them. I have read where some guns will have a POI shift though so I thought I would tag along and see what the experienced members have to say.

OP what kind of firearm is this, and in what caliber? Did you check alignment with a rod or flashlight to confirm barrel/thread concentricity? Are you using a wipe or no wipe? Wipes can throw zero off pretty far. Barring that, I’d guess you’re getting some kind of jacket separation or baffle/end cap kisses.

If that can comes apart, take it apart and check for a strike. Also, as stated, check the alinement.
None of the cans I use throw off POI that much. Some will move it a little, but not much.

    9mm stribog

    Springfield saint pistol .300 blk

I haven’t checked anything just yet, didn’t have time as it was late when we got back.

I’ll take a look for baffle strikes when I get a chance.

    No wipes used

If your zero was that far off at 25 yards on both firearms, something is wrong. Possibly with your muzzle device, possibly with your muzzle device adapter, or possibly with your can. Let me know what you see with your can. If you’re not seeing evidence of baffle strikes, misaligned threads with your muzzle device adapter, or other obvious things, it would probably help to take close ups of your setup. You can also hit dead air customer service up to see if they have any ideas.

Err, what is a wipe and what is it used for. No wiping the babies butt answers please. ;)
A wipe is a small disk made of neoprene, rubber, etc that can be used as part of a suppressor. Typically in place of baffles like in the Gemtech Aurora, or at the end cap to help seal the can better and increase sound reduction performance. Typically used with pistol caliber rounds or subsonic rifle rounds, as they wear out quickly, affect POI, increase blowback/back pressure, and can cause other problems.

Nope- no baffle strikes and threads all on right. I am going to get out to shoot again in the near future.

If I can recreate this situation- I will be contacting dear air.

I’m giving it one more shooting sesh, to prove to myself it wasn’t on my account.
Okay, sounds good. If you still have issues, it may be worth pulling your muzzle device off and putting it back on while being very careful to stay within torque spec, ideally just above lower end.

Or just take it off, try it on the range with direct thread, and seeing if you can isolate the issue to the muzzle device that way.

No issues with my Wolfman, though I have yet to shoot it with a key micro brake. Just tri lug, direct, piston, I have a key micro but have yet to try it out.

Can is over the key micro brake. (Qd)

Decided to go qd so I could run .300 supers and .556 through it.

Haven’t made it back to the range yet.
I don’t have a KeyMicro setup since my Wolfman is dedicated to a single firearm and set up for trilug, but I seem to recall reading that you need to treat KeyMicro a little differently vs normal KeyMo. I think it’s only like a quarter or a half turn and it should be snug, so if you’re having to turn it more than that you may have part of a batch with bad QC that needs to be replaced. Although that would likely show up as super inconsistent POI shift vs drastic but repeatable POI shift.

Anyway hopefully you get it sorted out. DA has great customer service so don’t be shy about contacting them, either.

My buddy in Florida has a wolfman on his SIG MPX with the micro mount. Exact same issue - bullets go everywhere, no sign of baffle strikes. My guess is something is not right with the mount but we haven't been able to diagnose it yet.
