    On that we completely agree.

It's possible that the reason I've never had an issue is because I'm not trying to do anything different - I just want to load good ammo that shoots well and saves me some money, and to that end I've succeeded pretty well. I am pretty careful about it though.
I still submit that you can have these issues while following book loads to the letter. CZs, for example, are known to sometimes have short-ish throats that cause problems with book loads. You will probably also see less drama if you're sticking with the big quality factory pistols - Glocks, M&Ps, etc.

Yeah, that would explain it. Have not found my Sigs to be picky at all, and DW sure wouldn't be making a mistake like that.
I have two DW 1911s, and they are not picky in the least - I've thrown everything at them from 185 gr JHP, to 200gr LSWC, 200 gr RN, 200 gr FP, and 230 gr ball - they just gobble up everything. Then again, so does my old 1941 era Colt.

Loaded 325 Winchester AA hulls with Alliant American Select, Winchester 209 Primers, Claybuster WAA12SL and one ounce of #9 lead shot for skeet. Third time using these hulls, no signs of wear or damage. Not the cheapest loads but at least I have ammo to use without driving a few hours to pay $13+ a box for 9 shot.

I loaded up 20 subs for my 300 BO last night using Berry 220 grain plated bullets and 10grains of H110. They functioned fine but only gave me a 2 inch group from the bench at 50 yards. My standard super loads, using my Lee 160 PC bullets, give me 1/2 inch groups from the bench. I only bought the berry bullets as I haven't found a mold that I like for sub sonic bullets yet.

Worked on cranking out some basic 55 grain fmj 556 loaded with 25.3 grains of h335. I'm wanting to shoot a 2 gun match for fun in a few weeks and don't want to burn up good stuff on cardboard up close.

FINALLY got a chance to shoot my test loads in 308 (46gr IMR 4064 below a 125gr Hornady FMJ), 5.56 (26.5gr TAC below a 55gr loaded to the cannelure, 100% prepped on press), and a very minor bullet change to my 9mm load (RMR -> LOS). No issues. Time to start mass-manufacture of these guys. Unfortunately, my Dillon case insert slider broke the other night, so 9mm will have to wait.

I did have a delightful complete case head separation from a steel-cased 308 that blew out my magazine floorplate and totaled the mag. Just a G3 mag, so not much of value lost, but some good pucker factor there. Probably should buy a GO/NO-GO gauges just to make sure it's not the rifle, of course.

Spent some quality time loading up ~150x 223 and 75x 308, both of which were intended to be blaster grade. The 308 was particularly a pain because I'm trying to use up my IMR 4064, which is not a powder that meters particularly well out of a powder measure... this forced me into a combination of using a CM Lite and manually weighing charges out of a powder measure to verify them. The only consolation is that at 46gr per charge, we're only talking about half a case of ammo to burn through my entire supply (which is also to say, 308 is kinda expensive right now! That's like 20c of powder below a 20c bullet in a 20c case with a 10c primer.).

The 223 wasn't great, either, it was my attempt to use up some primed cases I had from the bad old days when I was using my Lee turret to load all of it. This meant hand-inserting them into the proper position on the Evo, past the priming station.

Loaded up about 200 rounds of 9mm as my stash of reloaded plinking rounds has dwindled quite far. Also sized and decapped about 400 pieces of 3006. Going to trim and swag them as needed some time this week probably. Waiting on my casting equipment to show up to cast some pills for 38 S&W. Then will load those.

Did another hundred or so 308 last night. Almost through that iMR 4064! Will probably do the next batch with the cheap 147gr projos I got from Xtreme.

Why not trade it for TAC?
Because that's a lot more work than just loading it up into some blaster ammo and calling it a day.

Besides, if I'm pulling the handle on the RCBS Uniflow at a slow, even rate, the drop is between 45.7 and 46.1, and that's good enough for government work.

Currently out of bullets but got another batch of 240gr Fioccis on order.

Man I'd be keeping the 4064, yeah it don't meter to well on a progressive
Use 846 for the 08 plinking / throw lead & copper downrange. 748 for the
    other. just .01 thought.

    844 / 842 for the 5.56...

"did nothing at my bench, mostly all packed up S.C. Bound"

Unfortunately, given MD powder storage laws, just keeping it is not a great option. My goal is to minimize the number of different powders I've got lying around, even though it's fairly hard to avoid at least 3-4...
