Looking to get a barrel threaded. Anyone know of local gunsmiths in SOMD area that could do it?

Class III machining in Dallas, TX. They are way way faster than anyone around here and work quality is great/prices are very fair.

    Where they send me.
If you can simply ship the barrel out, the suggestions above are great.

If you have something with a # on it which is going to get into shipping hassles/costs then it differs.

Walt Frear does great work in Monrovia, md if it is something which shipping will get $$$ on.

No hassles for a long gun.

I have used Short Action Customs in Ohio and Long Rifles Inc in Strugis, ND.

Both were 1 week door to door. You can ship the barreled action using UPS or FedEx Ground.

Will second this. Used them several times. Turnaround time to your door is often under two weeks. Solid work.

Is it something fancy or just a normal gun?

I ask because when I went down the suppressor hole I wanted to get my trusty, but very common ruger m77 hunting rifle threaded. The cost was more then half the cost of a cheaper ruger american that came threaded so I just went that route. Someday I will have my own lathe setup capable of threading rifles, that is when i will do the m77 and several others.
