Cross posting from different thread, but I suppose it's porn-y enough for this thread, too. Thought I'd get a picture of it tonight before I get it all grubby at a steel match tomorrow.

How do you like that optic, it’s kinda on my short list.

I like it a lot, actually. I have a bit of an astigmatism (for which I don't wear glasses and maybe should, at least for night driving), so the ring/dot image has a bit of a bristly look to it, just slightly. Hard to describe. But the field of view on that optic is so huge, and it works so well for me with both eyes open, that I'm able to acquire targets with it very, very quickly.

I come off of a string of targets and every damn time I say to myself, "dang, that was fast!" - because something about that design, combined with the two-eyes-open shooting, just really works. Seems very solid, physically, and it gets more than bright enough for use in full sun. Haven't handed that rig over to anyone who hasn't really liked shooting it - both the CZ and the optic.

Thanks bud! I’m waiting for it to get back in stock on expert voice

He let me shoot it last month. That optic went to the top of my list for a red dot for my 9mm PCC. It’s awesome. Sadly it’s a little further down the list of important things right now so it’ll have to wait.

Wow! Really nice. I am sure that it shoots even better than it looks.

    25 rounds, Winchester 124gr FMJ NATO @ 10 yards

Thanks! I took it over to Heritage and ran 100 rounds thru it this afternoon. That one shot at the bottom, though, down in the 7 ring, came from my neighbor in the adjacent lane. God as my witness! If I was that far-off I'd have packed my range bag and gone home for the day. LOL

Heritage was busier today than I think I've ever seen it? Good crowd, though. Lots of beginners working one-on-one with more experienced shooters. I thought that was encouraging.

I see them on the roster. They’re in stock on Iammo

Supplies have been sporadic, especially for the carbine. Some of the guys on the CZ forum have been waiting to get one for quite awhile. Meanwhile, it looks like there's lots of Bren 2 pistols for sale on GB.

I don't know about you but I'm reluctant to sink that kind of $ into a rifle that uses a 100% polymer lower. I'd like to wait a little while and see how they hold-up before making a commitment. I'd also like to wait and see if they offer-up a 7.62 NATO version of it.

Two weeks of sitting in the house, only going-out to the grocery store and gas station finally got the best of me. I got up early this morning, grabbed 4 boxes of ammo, some hand sanitizer, prayed to Odin and Freya for protection and took the Bull Shadow SP-01 out to range test:

50 rounds of Geco 124gr FMJ
50 rounds of Magtech 124gr FMJ
100 rounds of Winchester WB NATO 124gr FMJ

Started with the Winchester WB since, of the three, it recoils slightly more but, is the most accurate in all my CZ pistols. Zero issues. The Bull Shadow devastated the targets, even the trio of dinky 4" plates at 12 yards that always drive me crazy. Just watch, though? Come match day, I won't hit one of them.

Magtech is one of my favorite 'cheap' range ammos. When I can get it for less than $9 a box with free shipping, I'll order a case. It usually doesn't shoot quite as accurately as the Geco and Winchester but, functions reliably and the Bull Shadow was no exception. 50 rounds - no malfunctions.

Geco is my go-to when Winchester and S&B aren't on-sale for cheap. It's good stuff and the brass is excellent for reloading. 50 rounds cycled without any problems.

Based on today's range trip, I'm forced to conclude that this pistol works pretty good - slightly better than expected. The combination of high visibility sights and overall balance make it very easy to shoot quickly and accurately. I wasn't completely sold on the bull barrel concept for the CZ 75 design but, it seems that CZC has succeeded in making a very tried-and-true design even better than the original. I think that says a lot.

Great new pics, Zzzzz_man! Another sweet looking CZ. Glad it met expectations at the range (and thank goodness MPC has continued to permit use of the range open so you could function test this new firearm). How was the balance and recoil mitigation in comparison to your Shadow pistols, which were excellent in this regard? With the bull barrel, I'm assuming there's more mass relative to the base pistol.

My hat's off to the member(s) who snagged a generous supply of hand sanitizer for the range. Nice! I had my own with me, of course, but when people are practically knifing each other at the store over that stuff, the club's dedication to our well-being didn't escape me. It was a welcome surprise in our executive porta-potty. :D

Honestly, the Bull Shadow isn't all that big of a departure from the Shadow Orange. The two perform similarly but, I think the Bull Shadow recoils in a more manageable way. There is definitely less muzzle rise. As a result, staying on-target between shots seems easier and mowing-down a line of 6" steel plates seems faster. The FO front sight glows brighter than most others I've seen. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied it'll make a good gun to use in our steel matches once we get them started-up again.
