AR Pistol - restrictions?

Is there a minimum barrel length when building a AR pistol? I built a 10.5" last year.

Is it possible to do 14.5" and avoid the SBR route by using a brace for the stock?

If it matters this build will be done on a 80%..

I care more about compliance and want to stay away from Grey areas.

I’m not being a smart ass at all, but with the new ATF everything is a grey area.

Thank you.. I tried to research this specific question before asking. I can understand the irritation of someone posting the same questions weekly. I could not find anything about the 14.5". I may just do another 10.5" since I feel comfortable about that one.

There is no difference between * Pistols * with 10.5in and 14.5in bbl .

Of late AR Pistol threads are closer to daily than weekly .

If it were me and I was considering a 14.5" barreled upper, I'd have a good brake pinned and welded to it and call it a rifle.
