Hey MDS, have a question regarding gun sales. I have a couple rifles I'm looking to part with, bought em long before the 2013 ban, but now they're on the list, can't sell em in MD, etc etc.

I know the laws of buying selling in MD, but how do I sell to someone out of state? Ship to an FFL? Do I need to ship from an FFL? Any help is greatly appreciated.

The out of state sale has to go through an ffl. You can take it to the ffl yourself if you want. Doesnt have to be shipped.

Thanks! I'm thinking I'll list online, so it'll probably be shipped. Do I get a copy of their FFL before shipping? What's that even look like?

Some FFLs will not accept a shipped firearm from a private seller. You'll need to either ship from an FFL or specify that their FFL accepts from private sellers. Depending on how much your FFL charges, it may be worth having them ship it as they can package it and usually get business rates for shipping costs.
