Until I can get a reloading setup going (hopefully later this year) I am stuck buying factory rounds...

What is everyone using for subsonic rounds through a can in an SBR? For reference I have a 10.5" 1:8 pistol length barrel and adjustable gas block.

Not looking for ultimate accuraccy - just reliability. And it wouldn't hurt if the brass was worth reloading later this year.

Check with the bass guitarist at TomKat Ammo. There a IP here. They make some nice 300BLK ammo.

    Tagging for interest...

I've had no issues reliability wise with PNW Subs, but it's expensive and accuracy is another issue altogether. Out of a 9" AAC upper with a 762SDN I'm getting 4" groups at 100yds (with common fliers) on good days. I never seem to have that problem even with the 147gr PNW range ammo.

I have used the following with no issues on my 300BLK 10.5 SBR

Gorrilla Ammo has been working great for me. I have been getting great accuracy with the 208gr A-Max

Freedom Munitions 208gr A-Max works as well

Ozark Ordance -- they have recently had some customer service issues, but I have had no issues with the ammo.

I still need to try the TomKat ammo, they are next on my list when I need to stock up again.

Aim Surplus generally runs a sale on Gemtech 187gr ammo. I loaded up on it last time they had it. It shoots consistent groups.

    +1 on Tomkat.
I reload most everything I use but use Tomkat 300Blk subs when I want accurate 300Blk subsonic.
    My dad uses them regularly

If you're going to start reloading down the road, set aside your shooting until then.

Take the money you'll save by not paying butt rape retail and put it towards reloading goodies.

You can make 300blk for under .30 cents a round.

A lot less than .30 if you're willing to cast your own bullets.

Do not order from Ozark Ordanance. Friend placed an order in November. 1,000 rds. No ammo yet. They won't even answer the phone or emails!
