Saw that 86,000 M1 Garands that we had sold to the Koreans during the Korean War, got approved to be sold back to the US. Is this true and if so should I wait and get one of these Garands(supposedly only gonna be around $300) or just pick up one from the CMP now? Thanks

I get the feeling the Koreans probably didn't take care of the M1's quite the same as the US stockpiles. I would be surprised if they weren't junkers, especially if they run $300 each...

I thought they were going to the importer for 300 a piece then they take their cut. Sounds like they could be in terrible shape.

I would go with cmp and it this actually heppens and they are in decent shape grab another.

Obama had the State department halt it last time. I'll believe it when I have one in my possession. That is assuming they are of decent shape. Won't know until we see them.

You are probably close. My guess will be the in the $400 to $500 range for beaters. Anything better than beater grade will most likely be considerably more.

CMP sells new barrels for 180 bucks, whats it cost for an install? 100 or so? Once their supply runs out (CMP) look for this combination to take off.....
