That's weird. I've never had that issue. My 1858 is also the Pietta from Cabela's, alone with a spare cylinder. They've always come out and screwed back in pretty easy. I use a touch of bore butter or other similar grease on the threads, but this sounds more like stripped or mangled threads. Did they give you difficulty getting them unscrewed?

Depends when the picture was taken. If the picture was taken in 1858... maybe.

So, what you're saying is that if we look in your search history there's good chance we're going to find: "daguerreotype porn"?

Technology drove innovation in the porn genre. In 1839, Louis Daguerre invented the daguerreotype, a primitive form of photography. Almost immediately, pornographers commandeered the new technology. The earliest surviving dirty daguerreotype — described by Slade in a 2006 paper as "depicting a rather solemn man gingerly inserting his penis into the vagina of an equally solemn and middle-aged woman" — is dated at 1846.

I got the M6 x .75 taps today and ran them through the two holes I was having issues with. The first one felt sloppy but cleaned the threads up quick. The second one I had to put some force on the tap and it was cleaning the threads up, like deepening them.

Both nipples seat fine now and I noticed for the first time those nipples are in from an angle pointing to the outside. You could clearly see the tap leaning to the outside of the cylinder. It must square them with the hammer or something. A closer look and you can see the slight lean to all the nipples.
