I was the lucky winner of a free A-R12 off of CL. It is missing the locking ring and the gentleman told me the drive shaft rollers are tired and should be replaced but recommended a new, complete drive shaft as the rollers are fiddly to replace..

Q1: Would you recommend a complete driveshaft ($20) or just the rollers? If just rollers, is there a local (Ace, HD, Lowes) alternative to avoid $8 shipping on a $4 roller kit.

Q2: Is the locking/sealing ring just a worm drive band clamp? Does band width particularly matter?

Q3: Source for users/owners manual? I could not find one on line.

    TIA

Try it out first then judge for yourself. $20 plus shipping is a whole lot cheaper than $250 for the whole unit.

Oh for sure, that is not lost on me. Just preparing for the inevitability (current/future) of wear items wearing and needing attention.
