You can mod these things? Awesome. I have an old one I have been trying to figure what to do with. I like tinkering. Should be fun.

You can easily turn a $50 pistol into a few hundred in parts pisto/riflel....lots of toolers machine parts and pieces...

Got the skinny 3-7x scope in today...eBay special for $15....put about 15 shots through it...got it close enough...I only have about 15 of the 7.4 grain pellets left, then everything else is 7.9....dunno how much it will change POI, but I have the barrel and threaded adapter coming in the mail this week....so I'm not gonna go too crazy with trying to absolute zero it....I think this skinny scope fits it better aesthetically....we will see how it holds up.

Since it is a pump up vs a springer, it will probably last forever. I have put a couple of those cheap weaver knock off scopes on kids pump up rifles and they just keep on working. Now, if you put it on a springer, if probably wouldn't last but a few days.

5 for 5, kneeling at 13.5 yards on one of the small single swing targets...I tried 2 at 5 pumps, 3 at 10 pumps...then for the heck of it, I shot one of the peanuts I had in the yard for the tree rats...little beauty is fairly accurate.

18 inch barrel arrived today. Putting it on tonight.

You know you will have to use the higher pressures with the longer barrel, right?

I put the barrel in/on. I got it back centered, as it was low and left...I have no more up left in the scope...it hits consistently at half inch low. I can live with that...I was pumping it 5x still. When I get out in the morning, at distance, I will pump it up to 10. I'm not sweating it for now...the slip on adapter isnt here yet...I'm sure I will have to make more adjustments when I add that and the moderator again. The adjustment for elevation is maxed...to the point it came loose...I turned it down jus enough that it won't fall out...not sure if that will have, or will cause detrimental effects..

I just shimmed the rear...put three pellets in the same hole at 10 feet...just making sure it made the right adjustment....out of my kitchen window, at 20 yards...I missed the small swinger...it looks like I'm passing right over it...so...that means I have room to adjust it back down...once I settle on an actual range to zero it...so...if I zero at 20 yards...anything less should require a tad of holding under ...I need to get out a little farther with a larger target to get an idea of the trajectory of this .177....I've gotten my .22 Springer mostly dialed in...but I haven't shot this one enough, as I keep changing things to get it set...once I land on a configuration...I can dial it in. Onna side note, I picked up a laser range finder from Amazon for $60...It's nice to know the range vs just eye guessing or stepping it off. I need the barrel adapter to get it back to neighbor friendly though...quite the crack without it...bit, with it being a pumper, the shots are spaced out intermittently enough that I doubt anyone will complain...

Better scope all around for close and mid range. 4x Center point. Replacement handguard for easier pumping... ridiculously simple cheek riser. Replaced the piston and valve too. Big thank you BigTinBoat. I took it apart and put it back together about 4 times before I had it right...for whatever reason I was brain farting on the reassembly. I had to change my garage bulb to an incandescent, as the three arm LED I had was driving it nuts. With the stock valve/piston at 10x pumps I averaged 570fps with a larger deviation. The new valve/piston averaged a lower fps, but much more consistent. However, I did pump it 15 and 20x, hitting 640fps, with no air being held over. I'm not sure what the limit is, but I will play around more with it later...

I used the same pipe insulation on my Marauder Pistol before I converted it over to a AR buttstock.
Simple and it works...say, I have the same stuff in my garage, and it never dawned on me to use it....BTB was like, here, try this..and I was like...duh...so much better...
