    You can only get one 1911 from CMP per lifetime. If you chose to sell it, CMP doesn’t care- you won’t get another one from them either way.

    Just saw the thread again.

    It is not just 1911's that the CMP will prohibit buying if you are caught flipping, it is everything! Flip if you will but, if you are caught, you are done forever as far as CMP purchases of any type. That's direct from CMP.

    Here's the one I ended up with. When Round 2 is complete, if they still have a supply of 1911's they may open up another round.

    They only sold under 20k the first round and over 10k this round. There were about 125k stored at Anniston Army Depot prior to the start of the program, plus some turned in from Crane. As long as the Army and Congress don’t cut off the 8k a year, they’ll keep getting them.

    I wonder if they’ll just transition to offering them for mail orders since the lottery applicant numbers dropped so far between round one and round two.
