A little late to the convo but I 2nd the nylon brush for cleaning along with a little Ballistol, the 8th wonder of the world :)
Use that stuff on all my guns (air, centerfire, rimfire, etc.) with a boresnake and/or brush. Guns been running smooth for 8-9 yrs now.

I live in a single family community, where the houses are all in a circular cul-de-sac config (as best as I can describe).
Bottom line - there is a house in any direction I point 100-200 feet away. I checked county regs and I believe it says as long s I have a sufficient backstop to stop the pellet from leaving my property, I can shoot.
Did I interpret this correctly? Been shooting pellets indoors and would like to reach out a little more at home without having to go to the range.

If you have a solid backstop ( I use a pallet and fill it in with stone), and your rifle has a good moderator, you shouldn't have any issues. My backstop stops everything including .22 long rifle but I am actually shooting at a bullet trap so I can collect the lead for making cast bullets. My farther targets (50 yards) I was using metal target traps but they are too loud so I switched to using plastic and metal cans filled with moist sand. When they are all shot up, I empty them and reclaim the lead and reuse the sand. At 50 yards I only use 1/2 inch plywood backstops as non of my pellets will penetrate at that distance.

I have some 3/4 inch plywood, but I like the pallet idea and sand filled cans.
I think 22lr would be too loud in my area. Thanks.

There’s a lot of factors, I’ve seen pellets ricochet off plywood. I’ve seen guys who live in townhomes take a Storage container and fill it with rubber mulch, plywood on the back. Then tape targets to the lid.

Pellets will bounce off plywood but they don't get far. Even my .22 PCP with 20 gn pellets at 900 FPS will flatten and land within 10 feet.

Now, if you want to get injured, shoot BB's at plywood. I have had BB's come straight back from 21 feet and hit me, and it is almost always repeatable. Now when I practice draw and shoot with my CO2 replicas, I shoot at a target mounted on a box fillet with old towels. ;)
