I like my Howard Leight muffs w/ after-market gel pads. But for a long round of sporting clays, or when the weather turns hot, I switch to 3M TEP w/ Skull Screw tips.
After taking an air horn blast to the head at less than a foot away, I need to reevaluate what I wear for both shooting and workday usage. Damn, those TEP are expensive.

That is why I called 3M and decided that the EEP was FINE, at over $100 less.
