Welcome, congratulations on becoming a US Citizen, and kudos to you on exercising the rights that you earned by going through the long process of earning your citizenship!

I'm a MoCo resident as well, but have been lucky enough to land in the Agricultural Reserve where the vast majority of us are much more prone to exercise all of our rights on a regular basis.

Welcome! This is the last place on earth you can run to...remember that. You should see how restrictive gun rights are in England, Ireland, and France where I have "in-law" relatives.

That is exactly what I am doing! Trying to get into a affiliated club right now

Honestly, the easiest thing to do is get your FFL-03 (Collector of Curios and Relics License). That and a membership with The Garand Collector's Association will cover all the bases for requirements. Shoot me a PM if you want links or any other info.

Hey guys, was naturalized last August and started looking into guns since then. Honestly quite an awful time to be entering this hobby, guns are stupidly overpriced, ammo costs its own weight in gold, and milsurp are gone. But hey, at least I'm a gun owning American now aren't I? Although I do live in the smack middle of gun hating Bethesda.

Welcome, from a fellow new American! I naturalized last year too. Luckily I hadn't waited until then to enter this hobby - you can buy guns as a legal permanent resident. But even during this shortage, you can still find some stuff in stock if you look around.

I second the recommendation to get an FFL-03. And I'd also recommend joining MSI - links in the sidebar here for that!

    Welcome!!!
My grandparents came here from Italy at
the turn of the 19th century...I bless them
every day for their courage and love of the
generations who have followed here since.
We in the US are in a bit of a pickle
at the moment, but we have to have
confidence in the wisdom of the Founders
and the system they gave us.
Sure, that is hard, especially for me,
    but we must persevere.

I, for one, hope you will share your
    thoughts and perspectives going forward
    here on the Forum.

    Again, welcome!!
