    Since you were willed the firearms, by name, it is an easier process. Now banned (in MD) firearms purchased by your uncle after 10/1/2013 gets a little trickier and I can't answer that.
    I would hire the services of a MD attorney well versed in 2A law. Brit Stouffer and Ed Hershon are spoken of very highly.

    I second the recommendation for Britt Stoffer's law office.

    Government doesn't really care. if they know about it, they can always find a way to screw you over.

    Maryland State Police approved the transfer today or really did not disapprove of the transfer.

    I did get legal advise. Because I was in possession of the firearms I filled out the 77r form on the Maryland State Police site. The attorney recommended using a FFL to help but I did it myself. There are boxes to check for inherited firearms. No HQL required for inherited firearms. You have to list weapon type, model, caliber, country of origin, serial number, etc. Took about 7 business days for the approval.
