410 shotgun shells are ridiculously expensive here. I've looked at some reloading gear. The reloading press boxes are labeled 12 ga. and 20 ga. from what I've seen. Are shot gun reloading presses dedicated to a certain gauge?

    Short answer.....yes.

There are some you can buy the parts to change out gauge, but for the most part, they are gauge specific.

The Mec 600jr can be bought in one gauge and changed to the others with parts kits. It is a manual reloader and is slower than the automatic models.

    Yes...
Some can be converted / gauge conversions.
Probably best bet depending on the amount
you want to spend / how much the budget is.
A used Mec 650 or PW 800, there are some others
the return on investment will be quicker due to cost
of factory vs. loaded, then again at todays prices that
may be a problem. Shot is crazy priced, been looking
for some 7.5 and 8 myself (decent priced)but it's right
up there with the rest of the components. Back to presses
some of the gauges will bring higher prices than 12ga. but
they are out there. Seen some show up at estate sales. I can
ask some people that I know that deal in estate sales. They
generally have a wide assortment of things.coming in and out.
    So good luck.
